The payday lenders tried to buy your vote in 2008.  And they lost.

But, until July 1, 2010 — the day the payday lenders’ special deal in state law actually expires — the battle is NOT over!  We have won the first round, BUT the lenders will spend every day of this session trying to change the law.  We must be ready to stop them at every turn.
